My secrets to glowing skin ✨

Hi Powgirls!! 🤎 Spooky season is definitely in the air, but while it’s still warm out, let’s call it skincare season.✨ If you’re anything like me, your skincare changes throughout the year based on so many factors—the weather, stress, environment, diet, etc. Over time I’ve realized that keeping my foundation of skincare habits consistent has helped me the most, so I wanted to give you guys all the hacks. I’d be lying if I said there was this easy, universal solution that everyone could just stick to, so if you’re on a skincare journey like me it’s so important that you listen to your body and do what works for you. I’m here to help guide you and give you all the information available to me, but my skin might need different things than yours and that’s totally okay. 🫶🏻

🌱 Gut Health Over Everything
As we know, our skin is so so highly connected to our gut health. I’ve had tons of guests on the podcast to chat about it in detail and I’ve shared the impact that healing my microbiome has had on my skin as well. On a basic level, I personally feel like you can’t go wrong by eating predominantly whole, minimally processed foods. Maintaining a highly nutritious diet is beneficial in so many ways, and your skin loves to show it. It’s one of the main reasons I rarely stray from my diet. Generally speaking, the less inflammatory foods you’re eating, the better your body and skin will react overall. This definitely isn’t the case for everyone because genetics play a huge role in how your body reacts to different types of foods, but it’s a good starting point and rule of thumb.

When it comes to supplements, they change based on my goals in the moment, but I always stay consistent with my two favorite: Colostrum & Greens. Colostrum is so amazing for skin because it has anti-aging benefits, antibacterial properties to prevent breakouts, is full of antioxidants, and can help reduce the appearance of redness and irritation in the skin. I love to mix Bloom Colostrum with Greens for an added bonus of vitamins and nutrients that tastes amazing.

💄🧴Getting Your Skincare & Makeup Right
Skincare products and makeup are also extremely important, and I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my skin after switching over to clean, non-toxic or pore-clogging products.

When it comes to skincare, my go-to brands are Clearstem Skincare & Rococco Botanicals. I’m obsessed with Clearstem because all their products are toxin-free, anti-acne, anti-aging, gluten-free, cruelty-free, silicone-free, and made with no hormone disruptors. My skin changes quite often, especially in different seasons, so I love taking their online skin quiz whenever I’m feeling like I need something new and getting their top recommendations. If you want to check out some of their amazing products, be sure to use code ‘POW’ to get an additional 20% off! (I’m OBSESSED with this cleanser.)

Rococco Botanicals products have been absolutely amazing for repairing my skin barrier and supporting the healing of my skin over time. Their products are made with carefully sourced ingredients that are non-irritating and safe for all skin types, which is really important to me because my skin is so sensitive. Huge huge fan of their Pore Cleansing Oil.

When it comes to makeup, I like to pull from different brands, especially based on the product I’m using, but I really love Illuminairé Cosmetics & Vooqoo Cosmetics. For foundation (which can be a huge acne disruptor, so I’m very particular about!) I use the Moisturizing Finish Foundation, but they have different types to choose from depending on your skin type and what you’re looking for. Even though this is a clean product, it offers such great coverage and is honestly one of the best foundation’s I’ve ever used — clean or not. Also love that I can reorder on Amazon!

All of Vooqoo’s products are made without any synthetic chemicals and are organic, vegan, and of course, cruelty free. This is such a good brand if you’re acne-prone or even if you just have very sensitive skin. I really love their Cream Blush because it’s really pigmented but creates such a natural, dewy look. And I’m a huge fan of their makeup setting mist which is made with rose water and great for all skin types!

😌 The Extra Stuff
Once you have everything else in order, then I’d recommend getting into things like facials, face masks, more expensive products & investments into your skin. I always like to look at things like this as the cherry on top of an already great routine—otherwise you won’t see the results you’re looking for and might just be wasting time and money.

My extras are a bi-weekly facial with an esthetician I really really trust. This can be a really big thing because you want to make sure you find someone who knows how to work with your skin type, conditions, and goals. Don’t be afraid to go to multiple before deciding on the one that feels truly right for you. This is a huge investment into yourself, so you deserve the best.

You also know I LOVE my red light therapy, especially my skincare mask, so I try to never skip a day. Red light therapy has so many skincare benefits like increased collagen production, reduced inflammation, improved blood circulation and skin texture, cell regeneration, and more. I’ve seen such amazing results with my Bon Charge Red Light Face Mask and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to treat themselves to one as well. You can actually grab it for 25% off for the next 48 hours here, just type in code PURSUIT25 at checkout!!
