Stay in your healing era over the holidays with these tips š©µ
Itās that time again. āļøāļø Early sunsets, chilly weather and you guessed it, more family time. Some of us thrive, some of us are really just trying to survive (aka, meāeek!)
Thereās no doubt the holidays have an overwhelming feel to them. I mean, thereās so much going onāmentally, emotionally, financially. I used to really struggle to stay on track with my wellness routine around this time of year and Iād be so hard on myself, which always made things worse. If youāre feeling that energy in the air and youāre really not looking forward to the holidays, trust meāyouāre not alone. And you donāt have to feel this way forever, I promise. š«¶š»
I know there isnāt a universal survival guide to breezing through the holidays with ease (if there was, I wouldāve bought it or invented it already), but Iāve been doing this a while now and I do feel like I have a few tricks up my sleeve that make this time of year significantly better. So obviously Iām sharing them with you!! Letās get into them:
š§āāļøSet some boundaries beforehand
I know this one involves getting deep which can be tough, but itās one of the things I feel has been a true game changer for improving my personal relationships & habits around the holidays. From a mental health standpoint, being honest with yourself about things that might trigger you allows you to come up with a plan beforehand and have the upper hand emotionally which allows you to act with intention, not just react in the moment. When you take the time to ground yourself before hand and decide what you will and will not give your energy to, it becomes much easier to anticipate and maneuver through uncomfortable conversations or interactions and protect your peace altogether.
āØ Donāt be afraid to call a time out
Check in with yourself every few hours, especially if youāre noticing feelings of anxiety or overwhelm brewing. Going for a walk, laying down, calling a friend, or reading a few pages of your favorite book even just for a few minutes can help you reset your mental energy and allow you to continue showing up as your best self.
Iām planning on setting one āfocus hourā aside for myself every day that Iām around family this year. I love listening to brain.fm, my favorite music platform for when I really need some uninterrupted working time or some relaxation-inducing vibes while I sip on my favorite Pique Chai tea. I always leave these focus sessions so relaxed and grounded + I get the double benefit of sipping on a lilā bevvy that keeps my my skin bright, hydrated, and radiant. If you want to stock up before the holiday seasonāyou can get a FREE Pique Chai Tea with your qualifying purchase now through November 16thājust use this link!!
š± Keep the right things consistent
Letās be real, the holidays are major splurge season!! Gifts, nights out, treats, drinks, etc. While I 100% think thereās room for all of these things in our lives, I find that taking a balanced approached makes me truly enjoy and embrace the season instead of feeling controlled by it. So whatever it is that makes you feel good and balancedāmake sure you keep it on rotation.
You know me and know Iām all about keeping my supplements consistent, so if youāre trying to do the same, I highly reccommend getting started with SuppCo. Theyāll analyze your routine (perfect for holiday changes!) and give you personalized tips using their analysis algorithm to help you reach your goals like improved energy, reduced brain fog, gut health, hormonal support and more. Theyāll even send you reminders to take your supps so you can stay on track and never miss a dose!! Whether itās a daily workout, a morning skincare routine, a mediation practiceākeeping one or a few wellness practices will work wonders are helping you feel balanced and not totally derailed by the fun & festivities that the holiday season brings.
š But stay in the moment!!
At the same time Iām a huge advocate for keeping some type of consistent schedule, I also really encourage you to embrace living in the moment this time of year. Ultimately, the holidays can be a truly special time filled with lots of love, memories and joy. Allowing yourself to lean into the special moments and view them from a perspective of appreciation will help you find so much peace in not being able to stick to the plan 100% of the time. Making memories and filling your cup with things that bring you true happiness with people you love and care about is just as important as any wellness routine. š¤
Sending you so much love this season and a reminder that you are strong, capable + so loved!!
