Things I’m Loving Lately ✨
Featuring food, fashion, skincare, and more. 🤎
Hi POW girls! Hope everyone is having a lovely last few weeks of the year. I cannot believe how fast 2023 has flown by. How is 2024 already next week?! 🎊
Before the year ends, I thought I’d share some of my recent favorites with you! Let’s get into it. 💕
🍖 Food Favorites
I’m always on the go, so I LOVE a recipe I can throw in the Crockpot in the morning and have a ready-to-serve dinner with minimal effort in the evening. I absolutely love Rachel’s recipes and am constantly getting food inspo from her page, so I knew I had to try this one. As usual, it did not disappoint. We’ve had it for dinner multiple times in the last month!! 😋
As you might already know, I’ve been doing my best to be more conscious of what I’m consuming and how I cook my meals to balance my hormones. 🧘♀️ I’ve cut seed oils from my diet, started cooking my meat in ghee or tallow, etc., and this glass air fryer is my latest swap! I’ve recently learned that many typical air fryers give off potential chemicals in the air frying process, so I wanted to find an alternative that does the job without any added chemicals. Greg surprised me with this and I’m literally obsessed — it works so well and it’s so fun to see the food cook!
🧖♀️ Skincare Favorites
For my acne-prone girlies… you NEED this. I used to be so stressed to get home and wash my face immediately after a workout to avoid sweat-induced acne flare-ups, but now that I’ve been using this spray, it lets me comfortably run errands or grab a bite to eat after the gym without rushing to get to the shower. The spray helps kill bacteria and reduce inflammation on the skin, which is so beneficial if you have acne-prone skin like me. 💁♀️
First of all, I love a cream blush. I love doing minimal and clean makeup looks these days, so I love how cream blush gives you that flush of color while keeping your skin looking dewy and glowy. I especially love this product specifically because it’s formulated without any acne-triggering ingredients & is made with vitamin E to help protect and condition your skin! I’ve tried a few different shades and have really loved them all, so you can’t go wrong with whatever catches your eye, but my personal favorite is Soft Burgundy. 💋
Huge huge fan of RMS beauty products. They were founded by a long-time makeup artist who wanted to create clean options with healing ingredients, which I think is so great. Each product uses raw, food-grade, organic, wildcrafted, and natural ingredients, which I absolutely love. The SuperNatural Radiance Serum Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen and the ReEvolve Natural Finish Liquid Foundation are two products I constantly integrate into my daily routine. There are also lots of shades to choose from! ✨
I have such a hard time finding clean makeup removers that don’t leave my skin either feeling super dry or don’t have pore-clogging ingredients. I used to just wash my face to remove my makeup, but I didn’t feel like it really cleansed my skin, and I think that might have been a contributing factor to my acne as well. I love this cleansing oil as a first step to ensure I’m getting everything off my skin so that once I do cleanse and apply my products, I know they’re really working. 🥰
👗 Fashion Favorites
Specifically, in the color espresso!! I’ve been wearing this jacket everywhere now that it’s started to get a bit chillier on the West Coast, and I will definitely be packing it along for my holiday trip with Greg to the East Coast. It’s warm, cozy, and water resistant — perfect for rainy or snowy days. And it has cinchable bungees so you can rock a fitted or oversized look depending on your outfit! So cute. 💅
Can I just say I love that low-rise, baggy jeans are back in style? I personally think they’re so comfortable and stylish and are much easier to dress up or down for a given occasion. Lately my go-to outfit is this pair of jeans from Revolve and a simple top + hat — you can never go wrong. 🧢👖
🐶 Pup Favorites
Randomly throwing these in here because I’ve been buying them for Arnie and Lulu, and they’re just so stinkin cute. They have so many prints to choose from and even have an option to embroider your pup’s name on too! I always try to shop from smaller brands or brands that support good causes when I can, so I love that The Foggy Dog provides one pound of food to rescue animals in need with every purchase. 🐕🐾
💚 Let me know if you give any of these a try, and as always, feel free to send some new recommendations my way! Pro-tip: these are perfect to add to your holiday wishlist, and you’ll likely still receive them before the new year! ✨
Hope you have the best end to your holiday season. I can’t wait to catch up in 2024! 🎊
