What's been on the menu lately 🥩 🌱

Hi hi my powgals! 🤎

I cannot believe it’s April 1st!? Literally where is the time going? I feel like it was January just yesterday and we were planning our big move to Austin. It seems like so much has been going on with everyone lately, so I just wanted to check in and see how you were doing, plus give you the tea on a very highly requested topic — what I eat in a day!! 😋

I get asked this question all the time, and if I’m being 100% honest, the answer varies a bit depending on what my goal is at the moment, but I always eat higher protein & fat, lower carb, and mostly whole foods. This is just what makes me personally feel the best, so I encourage you to find what works for you — everyone is different and has different needs, so be sure to listen to your body and do what’s best for you.

Okay, let’s get into it!

I always start my morning off with, you guessed it, a scoop of 🌱 Bloom Greens. I really can’t go a day without them — they’ve truly done wonders for my digestive system. I also love starting my day with so many added fruits, veggies, antioxidants, etc. Right now I’m obsessed with our Strawberry Kiwi flavor!

Next, I make myself a hot cup of ☕️ Organo Gold King of Coffee. I love this coffee because it’s made from mushrooms, so there’s tons of added health benefits and it doesn’t make me feel jittery or anxious the way many other coffees do. I feel energized, alert, and ready to take on my day.

For breakfast lately I’ve been loving 🥓 2 slices of bacon, some filet, and a handful of berries. I usually opt for fresh blueberries and strawberries. This high protein breakfast makes me feel so good and I don’t have a carb crash in the early morning because it’s such a lean and energizing meal.

Lunch is usually a simple, super easy to throw together 🥗 salad with tomatoes, hemp seeds, carrots, balsamic dressing, and steak + chicken on top. If I only have one or the other on hand, I’ll just double up to make sure I get that added protein in. This salad is super customizable to your preferences or what veggies are in season. I try to get mine super fresh from the farmers market so this recipe varies slightly by what I grab that week, but it’s always so fresh, filling, and delicious.

For dinner I’ve been obsessed with 🌮 tacos that literally take less than 30 minutes to make. I use gluten free tortillas (I love brand!), grass fed beef, and fresh pico & guacamole. If you prep the pico & guacamole ahead of time, this meal literally comes together in 15, so it’s perfect for a filling, nutritious meal without too much added effort.

And you already know I love my 🍫 chocolate & 🍵 tea before bed. After dinner when I’m winding down, I usually have 1 Evolved Simply White Chocolate Brownie Batter Cup with a cup of spearmint tea. Spearmint has so many benefits and really settles my stomach before getting ready for bed so it’s usually my go-to, but I do change it around here and there based on where I am in my cycle.

If you’re looking for more healthy food inspo, I’m always posting behind the scenes looks at what I’m eating, especially when traveling or going to restaurants on my Instagram, so be sure to check out my posts & stories and let me know what else you want to hear about next! 🤎

Hope you have the best month of 2024 yet — sending you all my love!
